Ah King (Andy Lau) was arrested years ago for cheating, but in fact, he was framed. Upon his release, he is welcomed by his long-time admirer, Hua Gu Long (Daniel Wu), who is a person with nothing to do all day and hopes to achieve something by following King. After being released, King searches for his pregnant wife (Maggie Cheung) and reconnects with his former capable assistant (Cheung Kam Ching). Later, King develops feelings for Hua Gu Long's sister, Qing (Zhu Yin). King receives help from Rocky (Ng Chi Hung) and boards a gambling ship, where he encounters Ma Jiao Wen (Ko Chit) whom he has wanted to face off against for years. King wishes to settle the score but is betrayed by Ma Jiao Wen's subordinate, Sheng Jing (Lee Siu Hung), who exposes King's secrets and tries to further persecute him. Can King escape this misfortune?
