On the surface, Charlie (played by Johnny Depp) is a successful and flourishing art dealer, living happily with his beautiful wife Joanna (played by Gwyneth Paltrow). However, he harbors a secret: every night, Charlie transforms into a master thief who specializes in stealing artworks. This dual identity has existed for a long time and has never been uncovered. One day, a painter specializing in restoring Goya's works mysteriously dies, and an expensive artwork goes missing. The authorities offer a huge reward, hoping to retrieve the painting, and the multitude of zeros on that bounty tempts Charlie into action, leading him and his partner on a thrilling and dangerous journey. While dealing with a series of odd characters, Charlie must also be wary of a man named Matland (played by Ewan McGregor), who is not only an agent of MI5 but also a longtime rival of Charlie.
