The story takes place in the summer of 1943. Tuur and Lambert are good friends from a beautiful hometown. From Lambert's father's farm to the mysterious cave in the woods, they enjoy exploring the natural world. However, the arrival of war ruins their happy life. Tuur's father and brother join the resistance, while Lambert's family chooses to surrender. Soon, a beautiful girl arrives in Tuur and Lambert's hometown, and the three become good friends, but the girl only shares her secret with one of them. Unexpectedly, the girl's secret not only drives a wedge between Tuur and Lambert's friendship but also brings her into serious trouble. For Tuur, this secret could mean losing his friendship with Lambert and his entire family. He must do whatever it takes to ensure everyone's safety.
