In Central Park, New York, there lives a group of carefree good friends: Alex the lion, Marty the zebra, Melman the giraffe, and Gloria the hippo. Their cheerful and lively personalities make every day colorful and exciting. Until one day, a group of wandering penguins inspires Marty the zebra to come up with a bold idea: to escape from the zoo and explore his homeland, searching for a new world. So, without informing the other friends, Marty quietly sets off. This causes panic among his friends, leading Alex and several others to escape from Central Park and embark on a journey to find Marty.
