At Blue Hill High School, there is a famous cheerleading squad called "Toro," which has dominated the national cheerleading competition for six consecutive seasons. Dorrance (played by Kirsten Dunst) takes over as the new captain of this cheerleading team, ambitious to lead them to continued glory. Just as they are preparing vigorously for the national competition, Dorrance is shocked to discover that the dance routine they pride themselves on was actually learned from their opponents by the former captain. This leaves Dorrance and her teammates anxious, as they must re-choreograph a new routine. However, this is not an easy task, and they all seem to lack confidence. Meanwhile, their strong rival, the cheerleading squad from Clover High, is also facing financial difficulties. However, time does not slow down for their efforts, and the competition date arrives as scheduled. Who will ultimately take home the championship?
