The soul-closed middle-aged teacher Gregorius accidentally discovers the essays "The Alchemist of Words" by Portuguese writer Prado in a bookstore. Attracted by the thought-provoking text, he decisively abandons his orderly life to embark on a journey to explore the soul and find the ultimate answers to life… In Lisbon, Gregorius investigates Prado's life, gradually reconstructing the image of this extraordinary doctor and genius writer, unveiling a hidden dark period during Portugal's dictatorship. As he gets closer to understanding Prado, Gregorius also examines himself, rediscovering the rhythm and meaning of life.
