Sarah (Rebecca De Mornay) is a psychologist who studies criminology. In her work, she has encountered all kinds of cold-blooded and brutal serial killers, countless blood-soaked and eerie crime scenes, with no trace left by any criminal escaping her eyes, and no threats or dangers able to make her yield. One day, Sarah unexpectedly meets a man named Tony (Antonio Banderas). The charming and refined Tony quickly captures Sarah's attention, and soon they fall in love. However, it is from that moment that strange occurrences begin to happen around Sarah; a strong malice is rapidly approaching her, and Sarah's instincts tell her that everything is intricately connected to Tony.
