In the early years of the Republic of China, opium was rampant in the eastern region of Longdong, causing great suffering for the people. After the ban on opium was issued, the planting of poppies decreased, but the source of opium was not cut off, especially in Majia Bao, which was the main supply hub for the entire Longdong region.
