Five years after marriage, Takano Kanefu (played by Masato Sakai), who works at an online company, and his unsuccessful manga artist wife, Koharu (played by Aoi Miyazaki), lead a calm life. Kanefu is meticulous and detail-oriented, accustomed to making bento every morning, pairing the cheese and tie according to the date. However, under immense work pressure, Kanefu's seemingly calm inner self gradually becomes unbalanced, and he even attempts suicide. Upon consultation, he discovers he is suffering from depression. Koharu, who has always focused on her work and is carefree, recalls that there were signs of Kanefu’s condition months ago. To help her husband recover quickly, she threatens him with divorce to force him to resign and take a break. With the loss of their income, the Takano couple finds themselves in unprecedented hardship, yet they also rediscover long-lost happiness through mutual support... This film is adapted from the original work of the same name by Hosokawa Chiyo, based on the true experiences of her husband, Akira Mochizuki, who also makes a cameo appearance in the film.
