The protagonist Robert (Marco D'Amore) runs a company that provides video surveillance system services for villa owners. One cold winter night, a girl named Maria (Maya Sansa) is attacked on the street and seeks help from several villa owners, but receives no assistance. The next day, Robert discovers that the attacked girl is actually the daughter of his former employee, Walter. The situation becomes more complicated as Walter himself has a drinking problem and is accused of harming Maria. However, when the girl wakes up, she tells a completely different story. Now the question is: who is the real aggressor? The police suspect Walter is the murderer, and even a video assignment from Maria's school seems to corroborate this. However, there is a second suspect named Dario, and surveillance footage shows that there seems to be some kind of relationship between Dario and Maria on the night of the incident.
