The seemingly ordinary Sasamoto (played by Hitoshi Matsumoto) is actually the sixth generation of Big Man Japan. The so-called Big Man Japan refers to a group of individuals with special physiques; they appear normal but can grow hundreds of times in size and possess infinite combat power when faced with strong enemies stimulated by high-voltage electricity. His ancestors enjoyed great honor in ancient times and during World War II, but in Sasamoto’s generation, long-lasting peace and a rapidly developing economy have led Big Man Japan to gradually lose its market. In reality, Sasamoto is forced to live apart from his wife and daughter due to life circumstances, and his once-glorious grandfather has entered a nursing home because of dementia. To make a living, Sasamoto has no choice but to act as a living advertisement every time he transforms. Despite the frequent appearance of enormous monsters, Big Man Japan's glory is no more, and the once-heroic figures are being increasingly looked down upon by many… This is the directorial debut of Japanese entertainment star Hitoshi Matsumoto.
