The Great Khan sends troops to war, and the army unexpectedly brings back the ancestral three-color bracelet of a small kingdom's queen (played by Sophie Marceau), triggering a curse that erodes the entire empire. The proud emperor (played by Jiang Wen) searches the world for talents to break the curse afflicting his daughter Turandot (played by Guan Xiaotong). An orphan named Kalaf (played by Dylan Sprouse), who has wandered into the Khanate, encounters the princess and they fall for each other. Moved by Turandot's suffering, Kalaf is willing to risk his life to rescue her, unaware that the curse is closely linked to his mysterious origins. At this time, the imperial court is thrown into chaos by the curse, as the bloodthirsty general (played by Hu Jun) seeks to gain power using the three-color bracelet, leading to imminent conflict among the rulers. Everyone faces difficult choices, and various factions are gradually drawn into the vortex of the curse.
