Salvatore (played by Vladimir Korenev) is a highly skilled doctor who conducts a bold experiment by transplanting shark gills onto an Indian boy, granting the boy the extraordinary ability to breathe freely underwater. The evil and greedy ship owner Zolida (played by Mikhail Kozakov) captures the boy and forces him into slavery, making him go to the sea floor to harvest pearls. Over time, unable to bear the exploitation, the boy escapes and hides in Salvatore's home. Baritazhar (played by Anastasiya Vertinskaya), who also works for Zolida, is shocked to discover that the boy is her long-lost child, and she files a lawsuit in court, hoping to have the boy return to her.
