Spencer is a gloomy 12-year-old boy whose mother has just passed away, his father is often absent, his sister loves to tease him, girls don’t like him, and school bullies frequently pick on him in public. Lonely, Spencer can only seek solace in comic books. Until one night, Spencer suddenly sees a strange meteorite landing in a junkyard near his home.
