In the future world, the power of technology surpasses everything, and genes determine fate, becoming almost an unbreakable rule. Unfortunately, Vincent (Ethan Hawke) is a person with inferior genes, predetermined since birth to have myopia and a heart defect, limiting his lifespan to 30 years. Therefore, his parents added a younger brother with excellent genes to the family. Vincent's dream is to roam in space; however, his poor genes make that dream impossible until he meets Jerome (Jude Law) at the space center. Jerome has superior genes but is paralyzed from the waist down due to an accident. The two decide to swap identities, with Vincent going to great lengths to hide his genetic information, diligently cleaning off his skin flakes and hair every day, leaving no trace. On the other hand, Jerome helps him prepare the genetic items needed for his space entry check. Everything progresses smoothly until a murder and an eyelash complicate matters.
