The new adventure film "Journey to the Center of the Earth 2: Mystery Island" follows 17-year-old Sean Anderson (played by Josh Hutcherson), who receives a mysterious distress signal coded from an uncharted island. Because he cannot be persuaded to abandon his pursuit of the signal's origin, Sean's stepfather Hank (played by Dwayne Johnson) has no choice but to accompany him on this journey to the South Pacific. Their ultimate destination is an island that few living people have ever seen. It boasts stunning scenery, vibrant wildlife, and incredible geological features; it is a mysterious paradise with wonders beyond imagination. They find only one helicopter pilot, Gabato (played by Luis Guzmán), who is willing to take risks with them, along with his beautiful and strong daughter Kailani (played by Vanessa Hudgens), and together they embark on this quest to find the island. Along the way, they not only save the island's only human inhabitant but also escape just before the seismic shock waves submerge the island, burying its infinite treasures.
