What happens when a mob-connected tycoon who specializes in garbage business buys a minor league hockey team and puts his 17-year-old son in charge? Roaring, brawls, bruises, madness... They rise to fame but ultimately face a major blow from the FBI. In 2004, Jimmy Galante founded the UHL team "Trashers" in Danbury, Connecticut, and appointed his infatuated son A.J., who was obsessed with "The Mighty Ducks," as general manager. (If Tony and A.J. sound familiar, it's because "The Sopranos" is based on Galante and his family.) A.J. wanted to create a perfect blend of professional wrestling and "The Mighty Ducks" — "a combination of my favorite hero and villain." As a result, this misfit team attracted a large number of loyal fans (including some celebrities) with their brutal performances and record penalty minutes, and ESPN covered their story. But later, the FBI showed a red card to the Trashers and Jimmy Galante.
