High school student Shun Takahata (played by Sota Fukushi), who feels extremely bored and disappointed with his current life, never imagined that his life would undergo such a terrifying change. In class, the teacher's head suddenly explodes, and immediately after, a talking Daruma doll appears on the desk, forcing the panicked students to play "Red Light, Green Light." After several rounds of bloody struggle, Shun becomes the only survivor in the class. He stumbles out of the classroom and meets his childhood friend, Ichika Ayamoto (played by Hirona Yamazaki), who has also narrowly escaped death. As they search for a way out, they crash into the gymnasium, only to discover that this is the stage for the next round of the game. Before long, a gigantic lucky cat (voiced by Atsuko Maeda) appears and plays a deadly game of "catch the mouse" with the survivors. Challenges that test endurance, intelligence, and imagination come in succession, as Shun, Ichika, and the eerie Taka Amatatsu (played by Ryunosuke Kamiki) face a major shift in their fate...
