Lucy (Demi Moore) is the egotistical and arrogant CEO of Incredible Edibles, the first American company to offer edible utensils. With her boundless wisdom, Lucy leads her team, including long-suffering assistant Freddy (Karan Soni) and Jesse (Jessica Williams), during a disastrous corporate team-building weekend in New Mexico. When disaster strikes, even their useless guide, Brandon (Ed Helms), can't save them. This mismatched and disgruntled group finds themselves trapped underground, and to survive, they must come together. Director Patrick Brice assembles a group of unlikely characters, locks them in a cave, and then lets them loose. What follows is a nightmarish examination of human social interaction, continually asking the question: What happens when people stop competing with each other and unite against an oppressor? Brice creatively weaves each character's arc into a larger theme, as they become victims of their own natures while portraying their humanity in rebellion against their animal instincts. Twelve people are trapped in a cave, food is running out, truths are revealed, betrayals and manipulations come to light, alliances form—what could possibly go wrong?
