The classic horror film "Hellraiser" is set to be remade, with director David Bruckner ("The Night House," "Scare Me") announced recently. The original story follows a man named Frank who accidentally opens a portal to another dimension, leading to his demise at the hands of the infamous demon "Pinhead" and the Cenobites. Years later, Frank's brother Larry and his wife Julia move into their deceased mother's old house. An accident causes Larry's blood to resurrect Frank's corpse, unleashing the demons... ultimately leading to a series. The new version will reboot the franchise from the first installment, reportedly evolving while remaining true to the original. Produced by Spyglass Media. The screenplay is by Ben Collins and Luke Piotrowski, with David S. Goyer ("Batman: The Dark Knight Trilogy," "Blade") providing the story and participating in production. This director, writer, and producer team is also behind this year's Sundance Film Festival hit horror film "The Night House."
