The film includes three short films directed by Roger Vadim, Louis Malle, and Federico Fellini, featuring fantastical and interlinked stories. "Messalina": Countess Contessa (Jane Fonda) falls in love with a horse! It turns out that the ghost of her deceased lover has possessed the horse, leading to a bizarre love story between a human and a horse. "William Wilson": William (Alain Delon) discovers that there is indeed someone in the world who looks exactly like him, and that person seems to be lurking around him all the time. Whenever William attempts to do something wrong, that person appears to stop him. Does he really exist? What is his purpose?
