The beautiful girl Lisa (Sophie Marceau) lives in a building opposite the Louvre with her grandmother. The renovations at the Louvre cause frequent issues with the old building, and Lisa meets a kind electrician named Martin (Frédéric Diefenthal). During one of the construction works, a tunnel connecting the Louvre with the building's elevator shaft is accidentally opened, allowing Lisa and Martin to enter the Louvre at night, where they find a laboratory where scientists study ancient Egyptian mummies. Lisa locks eyes with a mummy, inadvertently allowing the ghost within the mummy to enter her body. From then on, every night, Lisa is driven by the ghost to wander the Louvre in search of ancient Egyptian amulets. The curator brings in experienced retired police officer Flac (Michel Serrault) to investigate the Louvre ghost incidents, and an Egyptology expert from England, Granda (Julie Christie), also lends a helping hand. But can their combined efforts truly subdue the powerful ghost within Lisa?
