The vampire Lestat (played by Stuart Townsend) awakens from a long slumber. Unwilling to succumb to darkness, he exposes himself to the public as a rock singer. During an incident, Lestat saves librarian Jesse Reeves (played by Marguerite Moreau), and his identity is discovered by Jesse. Lestat uses his singing to awaken the legendary vampire queen Akasha (played by Aaliyah), who collaborates with Lestat on a revenge plot against old enemies. However, he does not anticipate that Akasha's ultimate goal is to turn the world into a hell on earth and rule all of humanity alongside him. Meanwhile, Jesse falls in love with Lestat; how will Lestat choose? This film, like "Interview with the Vampire," is adapted from Anne Rice's best-selling novel series - "The Vampire Chronicles."
