Kōsuke Furuhata, now a well-known detective, is famous for his unique Zhongshan suit and his personal style of always riding a bicycle. This special episode takes us back to his teenage years to see the story of how he met the most important person in his life, which marks the beginning of his journey as a detective. 15-year-old Furuhata (played by Ryosuke Yamada) transfers to a small mountainous area due to his parents' relationship and does not actively engage with his classmates because of his love for mystery novels. One day, after flowers in the school’s flowerbed are maliciously trampled, Furuhata finds the "culprit," and from then on, his reputation as a young detective grows. He sets up a detective agency in an abandoned house on the back hill but unfortunately, the clients who come to him request trivial matters. Until one day, someone arrives asking for help in finding a lost treasure, which changes everything. However, during the investigation, Furuhata realizes that danger is starting to surround him, and everything seems to be a trap. The person he least trusts ends up saving him at a critical moment.
