For Aubrey (Amber Tamblyn), the death of her sister Karen (Sarah Michelle Gellar) is full of mysteries. Two years ago, Karen went to Japan to study, and shortly after, Aubrey's family received the terrible news that Karen had been committed to a mental hospital. Now, the once kind and beautiful sister has become a cold corpse. Aubrey is convinced that something strange is going on, so she teams up with Ethan (Edison Chen), a reporter who specializes in paranormal events, to investigate the curse in the old house. At the same time, bizarre death incidents are occurring around the world, and the deceased are intricately linked to the curse. Is the curse really this pervasive?
