Katrina is a single mother who, along with her young daughter Clara, crosses the country to start a new life. However, their car breaks down in a desolate area. While Katrina is changing a tire, Clara wanders off the desert road and is bitten by a venomous rattlesnake. Desperate to save her daughter's life, Katrina accepts help from a mysterious woman. The woman miraculously heals Clara but demands that Katrina kill a stranger as repayment. To prevent her daughter from falling into danger again by sunset, Katrina must quickly resolve a moral dilemma: who should live and who should die?
