During the prosperous era of the Genroku period, a treasured sword granted to the family elder by the shogun was stolen by the wandering swordsman, Kazama Ransuke. The family elder's son, Inukai Heishiro, set out to retrieve the sword with his childhood friend but was defeated by Kazama.
