The somewhat famous television personality Martin (Pierce Brosnan) faces disgrace after accidentally getting involved with a minor. Moira (Toni Collette) has a disabled son who is unable to care for himself, so every day she spends her time dealing with the trivialities of caring for him, never able to leave. Jess (Imogen Poots) has been haunted by her sister's mysterious disappearance many years ago. JJ (Aaron Paul) suffers significant setbacks in both his career and love life, making it almost impossible for him to continue. The four of them, feeling that life is pointless, decide to commit suicide. By chance, they meet on the roof of the famous suicide hotspot "Hat Building." Despite their different personalities, they quickly bond over their shared circumstances, forming a sincere friendship and temporarily abandoning their suicidal thoughts. Thus, a strange group of four is formed.
