The film is adapted from the true story of Francesca Cabrini (played by Cristiana Dell'Anna), who fought for equality and happiness. In the late 18th century, after the Italian nun Cabrini arrived in New York, she discovered that local immigrant communities were suffering from government oppression, church indifference, and social prejudice. Cabrini thus decided to devote herself to helping these marginalized groups, vowing to bring hope to everyone.
