The beautiful girl Casey (Odette Yustman) is facing torment as she often sees a boy with a ghostly face staring at her with hatred. She seeks help from friends and doctors, but none are effective. However, she learns from an eye doctor that she might have a twin brother/sister. This is later confirmed by her father. Casey finds clues by rummaging through her mother's belongings and visits Sophie (Jane Alexander), a Holocaust survivor living in a nursing home.
