Comedian Alvy Singer (played by Woody Allen) is someone who is very concerned about his Jewish heritage; he believes he has childhood traumas and has seen a psychologist for sixteen years without improvement, yet he continues to pay; he has a bit of a neurotic personality, but he is full of negativity about life; he enjoys telling boring jokes. Because of his neurotic traits, Alvy has gone through two failed marriages. Alvy meets Annie (played by Diane Keaton), a girl who has always dreamed of becoming a singer, and they gradually fall in love. With Alvy’s help, Annie quickly improves her singing skills, but her parents oppose her relationship with Alvy. Annie catches the attention of record producer Tony and is invited to Hollywood to record an album, and Alvy follows her to Hollywood to propose.
