By chance, Brandon (Matthew McConaughey) discovers that he possesses an extraordinary ability—he can accurately predict the outcomes of football games every weekend. This ability completely transforms Brandon's dismal and depressed life while also drawing him into a vortex constructed by money and interests. Walter (Al Pacino) runs a sports consulting firm, and in his eyes, Brandon's miraculous ability is like a magic wand that turns stone into gold. Ambitious, he approaches Brandon and persuades him to join his company by any means necessary. From then on, Walter's career skyrockets, and Brandon finds both family and friendship in Walter. However, as Brandon's ability gradually fades, their relationship begins to waver. Both have their own thoughts, and in the end, there can only be one winner.
