Quiet girl Max (Taissa Farmiga) relies on her mother (Malin Akerman), who is a somewhat well-known B-movie horror actress. Although her mother has always hoped to make a name for herself, her fate has been filled with misfortune, and she remains unknown. After a failed audition, Max and her mother encounter a serious car accident, resulting in her mother’s death.
