In a time of chaos and rampant banditry, the Cross Blade Master is wanted by the authorities for assassinating a corrupt official. In the county town where the Cross Blade Master frequently appears, the eccentric doctor Hua Luo is desperately searching for a medicinal herb to treat his blind apprentice, Sun Yan.
