Stephen Sayadian is a renowned B-movie master from the 1980s in the United States, renowned alongside John Waters and Russ Meyer. However, due to the scarcity of his works and his hiatus from filmmaking since 1992, he cannot compare in fame to those two. This film is Sayadian's most famous work, which, unlike the films of the other two directors, features not only sexual depictions but also a strong surrealist style. He never shoots outdoors; all scenes are shot in the studio, giving his films a strong stage play and indoor soap opera style. The plot is fantasy-driven, the actors' performances are exaggerated and crazy, and the costumes are colorful.
