This is another stop-motion animation produced by Tim Burton's studio following "The Nightmare Before Christmas." It tells the story of an orphan named James who wants to escape his aunt's abuse to the far-off metropolis of New York City. However, a magical crocodile tongue given to him by a mysterious old man accidentally spills in the yard and grows into a giant peach. Inside the giant peach, James meets six large insects, and they become good friends, using their wits to help the peach fly across the sea in hopes of making their dreams come true. This story is very famous as a children's tale in America, so the film's appeal lies not in the plot but in the filmmaking techniques. This is another work by Disney that utilizes stop-motion photography, and Jack from "The Nightmare Before Christmas" makes a special appearance in this film, playing the evil ghost captain.
