In the year Christian Saldert (played by himself) turned 68, his father passed away, and he inherited the ownership of an apartment building located in downtown Stockholm. This was perhaps the best thing that ever happened in his life. He wanted to sell the building to secure a worry-free life, but soon problems arose. A tenant living on the 7th floor refused to move out, and when he requested to see the original rental contract, he discovered that the contract was illegal. This meant that he could not use legal means to evict this stubborn tenant from his property. As more troubles and issues surfaced, the existence of the apartment building gradually became a huge burden. While dealing with these troubles, Christian also began to change slowly.
