In front of everyone, the high-achieving student, the cold and mysterious high schooler Kumayama Tatsuki (played by Genta Murohashi), is actually an undisputed GOTH at heart. GOTH refers to a fascination with the darker aspects of human nature, a desire to explore the forbidden. However, such characteristics remain buried deep within, known to no one. Until Tatsuki encounters his classmate Morino Yo (played by Rina Takanashi) - a GOTH girl who can see through Tatsuki's heart at a glance. The two hit it off, and their yearning for darkness brings their hearts closer together. One day, after finding a notebook in a café detailing numerous bizarre murder cases, Tatsuki and Yo embark on a journey to uncover the truth. They even risk danger to visit the scenes, and the unveiled truth reveals not only the incidents but also Morino's past... This is adapted from the famous novelist Otsuichi's short story of the same name, "The Severed Palm Incident."
