Sam Worthington will star in the thriller [Gold]. The film is directed by Anthony Hayes, who co-wrote the script with Polly Smyth. The story follows two men traversing a remote desert who stumble upon what they believe to be the largest gold nugget ever found. They then devise a plan to excavate the treasure, with one man entrusted to protect the equipment while the other stays back to guard the discovered gold. The film is set to begin shooting in South Australia in September.
