Jack (Callan Mulvey) discovers that his wife Alice (Alice Braga) is having an affair with a man named Dylan (Luke Hemsworth), and in a fit of rage, he hires a hitman named Charlie (Simon Pegg) to eliminate Alice. Meanwhile, Jack's sister Lucy (Teresa Palmer) and her husband Nash (Sullivan Stapleton) also plot to kill Alice to claim a large insurance payout to repay loan sharks. Fortunately, Alice narrowly escapes death, which Charlie witnesses, and he decides to blackmail the couple. On the other side, Dan learns of Jack's scheme and, enraged, kills Jack. Charlie, who goes to collect his payment, unexpectedly encounters police officer Bruce (Bryan Brown), leading to a deadly confrontation between them.
