Former Hollywood star Joey Scott (played by Daniel Craig) lives alone in a mansion on Mabry Beach, where the guests are either prostitutes or drug dealers. His life seems to have sunk into an irretrievable mire; a cursed dog left by his new lover drives him crazy, and the only maid who could still communicate with him decides to quit due to his debauched lifestyle. Even his agent speaks to him coldly and eventually fires him. Just as his life plunges into unprecedented difficulties, he unexpectedly receives a call from his mother, informing him of the death of his childhood friend Bots. Joey hangs up the phone, feeling unsettled, and begins to recall memories of his youth. Upon returning to his hometown, he finds that everything has changed. The film stars and is produced by the new 007, Daniel Craig.
