High school student Wendy (played by Mary Elizabeth Winstead) goes to an amusement park with her friends to celebrate graduation, and everyone has a great time. The amusement park is brilliantly lit but eerie in many ways. As Wendy sits in the roller coaster seat, she suddenly sees a strange phenomenon, which terrifies her. Her boyfriend Jason reassures her that it's just an illusion. The roller coaster starts, but suddenly goes off the tracks while they are in mid-air, leaving everyone hanging upside down. Wendy watches as her friends fall to their deaths, and she cannot escape the impending doom herself. Wendy wakes up from her classmates' shouts, realizing that it was merely an illusion, but she is worried and tries to prevent everyone from leaving the roller coaster. Although she faces ridicule, her choice proves to be correct. The roller coaster has the accident she envisioned. However, the teenagers who escaped the disaster have not escaped the grip of death. They begin to die one after another. Wendy discovers that all of this is related to a photograph taken at the amusement park. To survive, she begins to fight against death.
