On a quiet night, the old, mischievous tow truck Mater (voiced by Larry The Cable Guy) roams around, enjoying scaring other cars. The stern sheriff (voiced by Michael Wallis) tells him the legend of a ghost light that floats around, flashing blue. Initially skeptical, Mater ends up trembling in fear by the end of the story. After the sheriff finishes his tale, all the vehicles scatter. Immersed in fear, Mater timidly returns home, only to find himself being followed by the ghost light, which scares him into a frantic run on the midnight highway...
