Just having finished the struggle against the rogue ninja group "Akatsuki," the Hidden Leaf Village is shrouded in a strange and ominous atmosphere. At this moment, Naruto Uzumaki (voiced by Junko Takeuchi) is lost in thoughts of his family, feeling lonely and helpless. One night, in a bad mood, Naruto unexpectedly meets Sakura Haruno (voiced by Chie Nakamura), who just had a fight with her family. As the two chat in the park, the mysterious Obito Uchiha (voiced by Naoya Uchida) suddenly appears and uses a visual technique on them. After a daze, Naruto and Sakura find that the Hidden Leaf Village, which seems normal, has their once-familiar companions now with drastically changed personalities. A series of abnormal events leave them troubled. Even more unbelievable, figures including Sasuke and Naruto's parents, Minato Namikaze (voiced by Toshiyuki Morikawa) and Kushina Uzumaki (voiced by Emi Shinohara), also appear before them. Obito's conspiracy slowly unfolds...This film is adapted from Masashi Kishimoto's manga and is the ninth theatrical anime adaptation of the series.
