Ten years ago, the first A Nightmare on Elm Street made star Heather (Heather Langenkamp) a successful actress. A decade later, Heather has a happy family, but recently, with frequent earthquakes and harassment calls from strangers, nightmares are causing her great unease. Heather and her husband are set to collaborate on a film, and the studio, responding to the expectations of A Nightmare on Elm Street fans, plans to invite Heather to star in the latest installment. Tragically, Heather's husband dies in an accident on his way home, and her son Dylan's behavior becomes increasingly strange.
