Hercules (played by Dwayne Johnson) has endured unimaginable pain and trials since childhood. He has completed the twelve labors ordained by the gods, creating a legendary demi-god persona revered by many. In reality, Hercules' rise to glory is supported by courageous warriors such as Autolycus (played by Rufus Sewell), Amphalaus (played by Ian McShane), and Atalanta (played by Ingrid Bolsø Berdal), with whom he entrusts his life. The hero and his companions wander as mercenaries, seemingly indifferent to what true justice is. One day, Hercules is hired by King Cotys of Thrace to help train an invincible army and thwart the rebellion of the evil sorcerer Rheseus. But as the war comes to an end, Hercules is pulled down from his pedestal by conspiracy and must confront the most painful memories of his past and the final brutal trial of his life...This film is adapted from a comic by Steve Moore.
