In the early years of the Republic of China, Henan faced a severe drought. The famous manager of the Hong family's acrobatic circus, Hong Yuan, brought his daughters Caiyun and Caixia to perform at Xiangguo Temple in Kaifeng. Their performances received thunderous applause from the audience. Shaolin traitor and playboy Hou Balai, coveting the beauty of the Caiyun sisters, deliberately sought trouble, and Hong Yuan was grievously injured while trying to mediate. The Caiyun sisters, unwilling to let their father be humiliated, confronted him. Hou ordered his thugs to abduct them, while the heroic Li Zhongzhou, already fed up with Hou's bullying, intervened. Furious, Hou commanded his thugs to attack Li Zhongzhou and himself lunged at the Caiyun sisters. As Caiyun and Caixia gradually found themselves at a disadvantage, Li Zhongzhou arrived just in time to fend off the Hou gang, allowing the Hong sisters to return to Xiangguo Temple, only to find Hong Yuan had succumbed to his injuries. The Caiyun sisters buried their father, filled with grief and a desire for revenge, they aimed to rebuild the Hong family troupe. Caixia suggested that their brother, who had become a monk at Shaolin Temple, should come down to take over the troupe to avenge their father. The two sisters went to Shaolin Temple and met their brother. However, Zhuanhong refused to leave the mountain, citing his vow as a monk against killing. Upset, the Caiyun sisters left Shaolin Temple and travelled around performing for a living, but their performances were again disrupted by Hou's thugs. The sisters engaged in a fierce battle with Hou Balai's gang, during which Caixia shot out Hou's left eye with a flying dagger. Seeing this, Hou Lian, along with his wife and nephew Wu Jian, plotted to gather martial arts masters to eliminate the Hong family troupe. One night, while the Hong troupe was staying in a dilapidated hut in the wilderness, Hou's thugs set the hut on fire, trapping everyone inside. Only Caiyun, Caixia, and Si Bao managed to escape; the rest of the troupe perished in the flames. Amidst the chaos, Si Bao got separated, while Caiyun was rescued by the righteous Tian Zhigao from Songshan. Caixia fainted in the pagoda forest of Shaolin Temple. Zhuanhong and his senior brother, Zhuanchun, passed by and drove away the Hou thugs, saving Caixia and bringing her to the temple. The monk Miaoyue overheard Caixia's cries and supported Zhuanhong's descent from the mountain to eliminate Shaolin's traitors and avenge their father, giving Zhuanhong the Shaolin treasure "Swallowing Bell" for protection. Hou Lian sent people to ambush Li Zhongzhou, establishing a private prison where he tortured him severely. Tian and Caiyun infiltrated Hou's residence at night to rescue Li Zhongzhou but were surrounded by Hou's thugs. Zhuanhong and Caixia arrived to assist, and Zhuanhong personally killed Hou Balai. Seeking revenge for his son, Hou Lian engaged in a deadly duel with the Hong siblings, and Zhuanchun rushed to help the Hong siblings as well. With their combined efforts, they ultimately killed Hou Lian, avenging the blood feud of the Hong family.
