"Seventh Code" tells the story of Akiko Takayama (played by Atsuko Maeda) who cannot forget the man Matsunaga (played by Ryohei Suzuki) she met in Tokyo and shared a meal with, leading her to travel to Vladivostok, Russia. Although Matsunaga does not remember Akiko upon their reunion, he warns her, "Never trust others easily abroad," before disappearing. While searching for Matsunaga, Akiko is attacked by the mafia and left in tatters in a desolate area outside the city. This suspense drama was filmed on location in Vladivostok, Russia, in June 2013. In the film, Atsuko Maeda also takes on fight scenes. Directed and written by Kiyoshi Kurosawa, the film "Seventh Code" will compete in the competition section of the 8th Rome International Film Festival, which opens on November 8 in Rome, Italy, with a global premiere scheduled for the 14th.
