Photographer Masuoka (played by Shinya Tsukamoto) has a repressed personality and a strong interest in the fear of humanity. One day, he happens to film a stranger named Arai stabbing his own right eye in the subway. Masuoka repeatedly studies the footage and returns to the scene to investigate Arai's self-harm. He ventures into the underground through the subway's equipment pipelines and is shocked to discover the remains of a forgotten underground civilization, bringing back a naked woman trapped in the ruins. Masuoka names her "F", and from then on, he cohabits with F and observes her actions through his video phone during work. F neither eats nor drinks, and her life gradually hangs in the balance. Masuoka accidentally discovers that F consumes blood, so he injures himself to prolong her life. Soon, Masuoka escalates to killing strangers for their blood. However, F struggles to survive in the human world, and the increasingly numb Masuoka experiences true fear through his relationship with F... This film won the Golden Raven Award at the 2005 Brussels International Fantastic Film Festival.
