The story begins with an expedition team operating in Sumatra Island, where they discover a bizarre-looking species of rat-monkey. They decide to take it back to sell to a zoo, but this leads to a disastrous consequence. Lenny (played by Timothy Balme) has a mother who is highly dependent on him. One day, his mother is bitten by the trapped rat-monkey. Soon after, she starts to behave strangely—Lenny even sees her eating spiders and biting dogs, acting insane. Lenny calls in a doctor and a nurse, but after being bitten by her, they too turn into zombies. Knowing that his mother has become a highly dangerous individual, Lenny cannot bring himself to hurt her and instead confines her and the zombies in a room. However, a small spark can ignite a great fire; during a dance party at Lenny's house, a large group of people falls victim, turning into chaotic zombie monsters wreaking havoc. Lenny swings a chainsaw, gasping for breath as blood and flesh fly everywhere. In a moment of desperation, even his beloved mother, who has already transformed, cannot escape her fate.
